Welcome to the North-South Alumni Network!
Altogether, the NCCR North-South programme
enabled 140 researchers to complete a PhD within the programme’s
multi-, inter-, and transdisciplinary set-up. During the programme’s
12-year duration (2001-2013), these Alumni dealt with a great variety of
development- and global change-related issues, aiming to contribute to
sustainable development through research. Their experience ranges from
academic research in the natural, social, and technical sciences, to
development practice in nine different regions of the world. New Alumni
have been joining this group after completing their specialization in
“Global Change, Innovation and Sustainable Development” by attending
courses offered by the International Graduate School (IGS) North-South since 2012.
The North-South Alumni Network was created in August 2008 to ensure that
these researchers’ valuable experiences and insights are made available
to the global research and development communities. The navigation bar
on the right-hand side leads you to the list of alumni according to
research fields or regions. Feel free to check on our former members’
PhD projects! Access to their profiles can be gained by connecting with
them via their individual profiles on LinkedIn.
All Alumni can apply for membership in the North-South Alumni Network group in LinkedIn .
This Network is a closed group created in 2014 to ensure that former
NCCR North-South and IGS North-South members can keep in touch with one
another. NCCR North-South and IGS North-South Alumni can modify their
LinkedIn profile, engage in an ongoing discussion, request help with
something or communicate new ideas, events, activities, and
publications, use the Job section for advertising, searching for, or
communicating a job of interest to the network, found a sub-group within
the North-South Alumni Network, and benefit from a continuously growing
pool of expertise for research and other professional purposes after joining the closed LinkedIn groupe.
